Education/experience: I graduated from Yale in May 2024 with a degree in Environmental Science and a concentration in Human Health and Environment.
Where you're from: I am originally from Kansas City, Kansas
Why you joined: I have known for a while that I want to pursue a career in the general field of public health, and my interests in aging health care and palliative care inspired me to complete a postbac premed program at Bryn Mawr College this past year in preparation for a career in medicine. I was drawn to the National Health Corps for several reasons. I knew this year of service would allow me to deepen my connections to the Philly community that I began building during my time at Bryn Mawr. When I imagine the type of work I want to do as a doctor I envision working in community health settings. I want patient advocacy and relationship building to be at the center of whatever work I do and this role offers me a chance to do just that. I also think the insights I gain into the complexities of the insurance and pharmaceutical industries will serve me well in my future career and better enable me to sympathize with and help my patients. 

Interests & Passions: When I am not at Health Center Six I enjoy being outside, reading books, playing Boggle, attending concerts around Philly, and watching movies with my roommates.
