Education/experience: I am a recent graduate from UNC Chapel Hill and have experience volunteering in clinical and community settings.
Where you're from: I'm from Clarksville, Maryland and went to college in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Why you joined: I joined the National Health Corps because I wanted to work hands-on to make a tangible difference in Philadelphia. I enjoyed learning in classrooms and laboratories, but wanted to apply what I learned and continue to learn in a way that makes a positive impact on people's health. I hope to achieve a better understanding of how community programs and family medicine can work cohesively to deliver care in Philadelphia
Interests & Passions: I'm passionate about breaking down barriers between Philadelphia residents and quality medical care as well as building trust through community focused health programs. I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing the guitar, and watching movies. Fun fact: I went to a Shakira concert this summer. Long term, I hope to become a doctor and work with doctors without borders.
